Today we visited: Hoi My - near Operation Bribie; the Long Hi Hills Heros' pagoda; the Australian water tower at BaRia; and had lunch at Ba Ria. A great day to end our touring
Regarding the water tower, our Vietnamese guide Tam said it was Aussie designed and built when the population was village size. From an engineering perspective, it is similar to the NSW Public Works design of the 1970's for populations up to 1000 and is the concrete equivalent of the Southern Cross steel tanks/tank stands used through Oz in the 1950-60's. Anyway it has been maintained well and still looks good!
