Swimmers Visit Battlefields - Surfers Prepare

Today, the swim the Dardamelles tour members travelled to the Gallipoli Peninsula. It was an early rise and leave, then a drive through the Turkish countryside, stopping at Gallipoli village for an excellent seafood luncheon.

We then climbed the heights to Chanak Bair where John Howells gave a brief detailing the strategy and actions of the campaign. A visit to the Gaba Tepe Museum followed.

Soon after our guests checked into their Accommodation at Kum Beach, and practiced distance swimming in the Adriatic Sea.

Our surf club tour members continued to practice for the demonstration surf carnival tomorrow.
