On Tour - ANZAC Day in Athens 28 April 2012

Left Olympia in a day that started to drizzle rain, different than the previous days that were so clear and hot.

Heading to Delphi via Patras and Itea that are both on the Gulf of Corinth and area that was covered by the Hussars and NZ Cavalry while the evacuations were going on in the Peloponese.

Morning tea was taken after we crossed the bridge and a very difficult morning tea it was due to the decision process needed to select one's cakes!!

We some how got over that problem and continued on our way arriving at the seaside town of Itea where we were able to have lunch in a lovely fish restaurant by the sea.

Following lunch we started to climb to Delphi and arrived in time to visit the Museum and site of the area where the famous Oricle helped decision making in those times past.

We were fortunate that the rain stayed away and enabled us to view the site before returning to settle into our hotel. Tonight we will go into the town for dinner. Tomorrow we head over the Brallos Pass to Kalambaka via Domokos, it should be a very good day.
