Surfboats at North Beach
Services at Quinn's Post, Channuk Bair and the Swimmers Arrive
Today the Surf Club tour completed their tour of the Gallipoli battlefield. The highlight was a commemorative service held at both Quinn's Post and Chanak Bair. Both locations were of significance to Australians and New Zealanders. A copy of the order of service is reproduced below, using the navigation buttons will let you see all four pages.
We also landed (with all required approvals) surfboats with Australian New Zealand and Turkish crews at North Beach and ANZAC cove.
Today was also day 1 for our Dardanelles swimmers. They gathered at our Istanbul hotel and walked around the local area, ready to start their tour with a tour of the city tomorrow.
