On Tour - Boer War in South Africa 12 June 2016

An interesting day. We headed out at 0600 for an early morning drive. Not a lot to see, a couple of hippos in a dam some impala, until we ran across a honey badger. The badger was digging for food, and put on quite a show. Then we ran across a lioness who put on quite a performance as she prowled around a waterhole. Three lion sightings on tour is something special. A huge boab tree, buffalo, zebra monkey then a break for breakfast. Warthog, hippo monkey, a coffee stop, a family of baboons with youngsters perched on mum's back, Malibu stork, the list went on.

The end of the day was a visit to the elephant museum at our evening lodge.

Dinner at the restaurant followed, then an early night. Another 0600 departure for an early morning game drive tomorrow, then to Johannesburg and the end of our tour.
