On Tour - RAAF Bomber Command in the UK Tour 8 July 2023
We are now back on the road and out of London but first we visited the Museum at RAF Museum Hendon. This Museum has been on our programme since our first tour in 2009 and even though there has been and continues to be upgraded it is still an excellent venue to see many famous aircraft from the start of flight until the 21st Century. There are aircraft from the second world war from both sides of the air conflict from Germany, Britain and the USA.
All on display were in excellent condition and the general display areas in the hangars are well presented. There are also many activities that are available for children to use and include an education aspect showing the transition of aircraft over the years and allowing children to interact with the displays by electronic means. Many children were taking part in the activities.
We had lunch there in the restaurant and then started our trip to Bedford where we will stay for 2 night at the Bedford Swan Hotel. Tomorrow, Duxford and the Shuttleworth Collections.
