Our final day of battlefield touring. We visited the sites of those late 1917 battles in Flanders where Australians took part: Hill 60; Menin Road; Polygon Wood; Broonsendene Ridge and Passchendaele. At each site, the battle was described; sometimes from inside the bus, the day was wet and cold.
The site of Angela's ancestor's grave was also visited. Angela was due to join us on tour, health problems precluded this.
Our tour concluded with a "formal" dinner of some note.
