Today we went Bruges where our group walked around the ancient town and sampled the local lace products, chocolates, beer and the regional specialty "moules et frites" or mussels and fries.
After returning to Ieper we attended a very moving Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. On this occasion it was supported by a choir. Participants were Australian, English, Canadian, Welsh and American and Dutch. There would have been 1000 spectators.
Shannon Richards, Jack Drummond and Brian Smith laid a wreath on behalf of our group.
