After an early awakening and, coffee and croissants in the hotel, our groups set off for the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Australian Memorial Villers-Bretonneux.
A very moving service on a misty and chilly morning will be remembered by all. The day became fine and warm as we headed into the town for its own service mid morning. There we honoured the French people who also gave their lives as well as met the town's residents who held this service annually on their own until 2008.
