The tour has got off to a very good start and all gathered by the evening of the 23rd April. At 7pm we went into the Plaza to take in some archaeological sites and to visit the oldest continually working bar in Athens. In the bar we tasted some interesting drinks including Ouzo and had some excellent cheese and bread. This was a good way to have the members start to bond. Prior to the bar visit we also saw the first condominium built in Athens, in 1932. Following that visit we went to a little family restaurant and the whole tour group had dinner together. The restaurant has home cooked traditional meals, no menu as they must await what the mother cooks each day.....beautiful food.
