Today was the commemoration of the centenary of the battle of Poziéres. The organisation was very good, and the ceremony exemplary. The support left very early, Stephen's son's school had been in contact with the Poziéres Village school; he brought material to present to the school; as they were on holidays it was presented to the Mayor.
The Pipes and Drums gave a stellar performance.
It was interesting to see the colours of so many of the current battalions that have lineage back to those who took part in the action 100 years ago.
