Today was our free day in Jerusalem. Most visited the old city where the surrounding wall and narrow streets were a reminder of bygone days. Some touched the western wall. Few went up to the temple mount as the queue wait was 2½ hours. The church of the Holy Sepulchre was another point of interest. AND the shopping.
The skyline included the King David Hotel, bombed during the Israeli war of independence.
Back at our hotel mid-afternoon we headed for Tel Aviv. Tomorrow there is a very early rise, 0330, we have ceremonies at Beersheba to attend.
